'Consolidated net sales of JSW
Energy for the quarter ended Dec 2022 has increased 18% to Rs 2248.09 crore due to higher realisation (as higher
fuel costs are pass through in nature for LT PPAs). Operating profit margin has declined from 42.14%
to 27.80%, leading to 22.16% decline in operating profit to Rs 624.93
crore. Lower operating profit is
primarily due to lower short term sales YoY, partly offset by contribution from
Vijayanagar Solar. Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 0.15% to 1.01%.
Employee cost increased from 3.57% to 3.75%. Other
expenses rose from 54.14% to 67.44%. Power and Oil fuel cost rose
from 42.98% to 59.09%. Other income rose 28.37% to Rs 101.64
crore. PBIDT fell 17.62% to Rs 726.57 crore. Provision
for interest rose 9.35% to Rs 213.7 crore. Higher finance costs is due to additional borrowings (for
ongoing growth capex)...
