Margin improvement


'Hikal consolidated net sales increased 2.44% to Rs 388.05 crore in Q1FY24 compared to Q1FY25.  Sales of Crop protection products segment has gone down 27.25% to Rs 163.18 crore (accounting for 42.05% of total sales).  Sales of Pharmaceuticals segment has gone up 45.55% to Rs 224.87 crore (accounting for 57.95% of total sales). 

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) was Rs 26.88 crore in Q1FY24 compared to Rs 2.08 crore Q1FY23.  PBIT of Crop protection products segment rose 66.11% to Rs 17.06 crore (accounting for 63.47% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Pharmaceuticals reported profit of Rs 9.82 crore compared to loss of Rs 8.19 crore. 

PBIT margin of Crop protection products segment rose from 6.6% to 10.45%.  PBIT margin of Pharmaceuticals segment rose from negative 3.7% to 4.37%.  Overall ...
