High Energy Batteries (India)

PAT down 8% on weak operating margin


'Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of High Energy Batteries (India) for the quarter ended Mar 2022 has increased 10.37% to Rs 25.65 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 37.44% to 31.19%, leading to 8.05% decline in operating profit to Rs 8.00 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 31.54% to 32.32%.   Employee cost increased from 14.72% to 20.48%.   Other expenses fell from 17.24% to 11.93%.   Power and Oil fuel cost rose from 1.01% to 1.41%.   Other income up 33.33% to Rs 0.04 crore.  PBIDT fell 7.90% to Rs 8.04 crore.  Provision for interest fell 32.39% to Rs 0.96 crore.  PBDT fell 3.15% to Rs 7.08 crore.  Provision for depreciation down 6.67% to Rs 0.28 crore.  Profit before tax down 3% to Rs 6.80 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 2.05 crore, compared to Rs 1.87 crore.&nb...
