Torrent Power

Sales up 23%, net jumps 88%


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Torrent Power for the quarter ended Jun 2024  has increased 23.28% to Rs 9033.73 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 16.17% to 20.57%, leading to 56.82% rise in operating profit to Rs 1,857.93 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 1.48% to 1.10%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 0.83% to 2.01%.   Employee cost decreased from 2.00% to 1.92%.   Other expenses fell from 79.51% to 74.39%.   Power and Oil fuel cost fell from 74.52% to 69.24%.   

Other income fell 10.98% to Rs 76.29 crore.  PBIDT rose 52.24% to Rs 1934.22 crore.  Provision for interest rose 14.45% to Rs 260.09 crore.  

PBDT rose 60.48% to Rs 1674.13 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 8.29% to Rs 359.48 crore.
