Declining prices amid cheap imports impacted performance


'Net sales (including other operating income) of Steel Authority of India has increased 4.89% to Rs 24489.91 crore.  Sales of Bhilai Steel Plant segment has gone up 20.42% to Rs 7,827.61 crore (accounting for 29.62% of total sales).  Sales of Durgapur Steel Plant segment has gone up 3.75% to Rs 3,012.12 crore (accounting for 11.40% of total sales).  Sales of Rourkela Steel Plant segment fell 1.65% to Rs 5,766.65 crore (accounting for 21.82% of total sales).  Sales of Bokara Steel Plant segment has gone down 0.20% to Rs 5,991.83 crore (accounting for 22.67% of total sales).  Sales of IISCO Steel Plant segment has gone down 11.31% to Rs 2,578.18 crore (accounting for 9.75% of total sales).  Sales of Alloy Steel Plant segment has gone up 10.92% to Rs 312.12 crore (accounting for 1.18% of total sales).  Sales of Salem Steel Plant segment has gone down 13.58% to Rs 445.23 c...
