Net profit growth restricted at 9% due to 260 bps erosion in OPM

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Siemens has increased 20.18% to Rs 4825.2 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 14.92% to 12.35%, leading to 0.52% decline in operating profit to Rs 596.10 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 23.29% to 24.94%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 32.17% to 27.07%.   Employee cost decreased from 11.38% to 10.60%.   Other expenses rose from 19.43% to 26.17%.   Other direct service cost rose from 13.71% to 18.81%.   Other income rose 61.36% to Rs 164.1 crore.  PBIDT rose 8.46% to Rs 760.2 crore.  Provision for interest fell 8.11% to Rs 3.4 crore.  PBDT rose 8.55% to Rs 756.8 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 3.15% to Rs 78.5 crore.  Profit before tax grew 9.21% to Rs 678.30 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in b...
