Net down 13% on lower sales, lower OI and higher depreciation

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Rail Vikas Nigam for the quarter ended Dec 2024 has declined 2.60% to Rs 4567.38 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 5.31% to 5.24%, leading to 3.93% decline in operating profit to Rs 239.31 crore.  Employee cost increased from 1.08% to 1.11%.   Other expenses rose from 93.60% to 93.65%.   Other direct service cost fell from 92.55% to 92.38%.   

Other income fell 18% to Rs 268.68 crore.  PBIDT fell 11.92% to Rs 507.99 crore.  Provision for interest rose 3.74% to Rs 144.59 crore.  

PBDT fell 16.91% to Rs 363.4 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 53.62% to Rs 7.42 crore.  

Profit before tax down 17.70% to Rs 355.98 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 89.61% higher at Rs 56.92 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 101.32 crore, compared to Rs 103.98 crore...
