Punjab National Bank

Strong performance


'Punjab National Bank has reported strong 103% jump in net profit at Rs 4508.21 crore for the quarter ended December 2024 (Q3FY2025). The bank has posted 7% growth in net interest income (NII), while the core fee income of the bank also improved 20% in Q3FY2025. The Net Interest Margin (NIM) of the bank was steady on sequential basis at 2.93% in Q3FY2025 and eased from 3.15% in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

On business front, the bank has posted accelerated 15% growth in business with strong 15% surge in loan book. The asset quality of the bank has further improved in Q3FY2025. Bank has reduced the credit to deposit ratio to 72.6% at end December 2024 from 73.1% at end December 2023. CASA ratio of the bank has declined to 36.7% at end December 2024 from 41.4% at end December 2023.
