''Standalone net sales
(including other operating income) of Power Grid Corporation of India for the
quarter ended Sep 2024 has declined 1.53% to Rs 10,260.06 crore. Operating
profit margin has jumped from 86.85% to 88.05%, leading to 0.17% decline in
operating profit to Rs 9,033.89 crore. Employee cost increased from
5.32% to 6.03%. Other expenses rose from 6.31% to 8.33%.
Other income up 42.84% to Rs 1123.28 crore. PBIDT rose
3.27% to Rs 10157.17 crore. Provision for interest up 9.02% to Rs
2604.55 crore. PBDT rose 1.43% to Rs 7552.62
crore. Provision for depreciation rose 0.63% to Rs 3161.68
crore. Profit before tax grew 2.01% to Rs 4,390.94
crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 679.78 crore, compared to
Rs 509.46 crore. Effective tax rate was 15.48% compared to 11.84%. Profit
after tax fell 2.21% to Rs 3,711.16 crore.
