'Net
sales (including other operating income) of NMDC has increased 22.54% to Rs
4918.91 crore. Sales of Iron Ore segment
has gone up 18.82% to Rs 4,749.04 crore (accounting for 95.98% of total
sales). Sales of Other Minerals &
Services segment has gone up 327.63% to Rs 199.06 crore (accounting for 4.02%
of total sales). Inter-segment sales
came down from Rs 29.24 crore to Rs 29.19 crore.
Profit
before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 15.46% to Rs
1,454.56 crore.
PBIT of Iron Ore segment
rose 23.32% to Rs 1,595.88 crore (accounting for 109.72% of total PBIT). PBIT of Other Minerals & Services segment
fell 312.13% to Rs -141.32 crore (accounting for -9.72% of total PBIT).
PBIT
margin of Iron Ore segment rose from 32.38% to 33.60%.
