'Net sales
(including other operating income) of Kansai Nerolac Paints has declined 0.26%
to Rs 1951.37 crore. Operating profit
margin has declined from 13.97% to 10.86%, leading to 22.45% decline in
operating profit to Rs 211.91 crore.
Margin was affected due to change in mix and ongoing investments in
capability building for the future. Raw material cost as a % of total sales
(net of stock adjustments) increased from 59.95% to 61.40%. Purchase of finished goods cost rose from
5.38% to 5.48%. Employee cost increased
from 5.40% to 6.22%. Other expenses
rose from 15.67% to 16.31%.
Other
income rose 21.25% to Rs 26.7 crore.
PBIDT fell 19.19% to Rs 238.61 crore.
