sales (including other operating income) of Jindal Steel & Power has
declined 9.72% to Rs 12294.48 crore.
Production and sales for the quarter stood at 2.09 MT (-1% QoQ) and 1.90
MT (-10%
QoQ) respectively. Share of exports increased to 7% in Q1FY26 compared to 3% in
Q4FY25.
Operating
profit margin has jumped from 20.85% to 24.45%, leading to 5.86% rise in
operating profit to Rs 3,005.63 crore.
Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments)
decreased from 46.81% to 41.38%.
Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 3.54% to 3.50%. Employee cost increased from 2.22% to 2.34%. Other expenses rose from 26.60% to
29.69%. Preoperation capitalised
expenses fell from 0.84% to 0.37%.
