'Net
sales (including other operating income) of Jindal Steel & Power has
declined 8.46% to Rs 11213.31 crore. The
production and sales stood at 1.97 mt (+4% yoy) and 1.85 mt (-8% yoy)
respectively. Share of exports was 9% in Q2FY25
Operating
profit margin has jumped from 18.66% to 19.62%, leading to 3.74% decline in
operating profit to Rs 2,200.25 crore.
Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments)
increased from 39.46% to 41.75%.
Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 3.57% to 2.47%. Employee cost decreased from 2.74% to
2.53%. Other expenses fell from 34.02%
to 33.02%. Preoperation capitalised
expenses fell from 0.84% to 0.62%.
Other
income rose 9.25% to Rs 34.83 crore.
