Indian Railway Finance Corporation

Moderate NII and net profit growth at 2% in Q3FY25


'Indian Railway Finance Corporation has recorded 2% growth in the net profit to Rs 1630.66 crore in Q3FY2025. The income from operation of increased 0.40% to Rs 6763.43 crore in Q3FY2025.

Overall OPM eased to 99.42% in Q3FY2025 from 99.47% in Q3FY2025, leading to 0.34% rise in operating profit to Rs 6,724.11 crore. Other expenditure as a percentage of total income moved up to 0.52% from 0.47% in Q3FY2025. The staff cost as a percentage of total income declined to 0.05% from 0.05% in Q3FY2025. The provisions as percentage of total income declined to 0.01% from 0.01% in Q3FY2025.

Other income declined 13.45% to Rs 2.96 crore. Interest cost declined 0.18% to Rs 5095.07 crore. Depreciation moved up 0.75% to Rs 1.34 crore. PBT moved up 1.98% to Rs 1,630.66 crore. Tax provisions were nil. Profit after tax rose 1.98% to Rs 1,630.66 crore in Q3FY2025.
