ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company

Expects to maintain motor segment growth momentum that kicked off in September


'ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company conducted a conference call on 14 October 2025 to discuss its financial results for the quarter ended September 2025. Sanjeev Mantri, MD&CEO of the company addressed the call:

Highlights:


The Company reported a de-growth of 0.5% in Gross Direct Premium Income (GDPI), compared to the industry growth of 7.3% for H1FY2026. However, excluding the Crop and Mass Health segments, the Company recorded a growth of 3.5%, while the industry grew at 10.5% for the period H1FY2026.

In the Commercial lines segment, growth stood at 6.5% for H1FY2026 as compared to the industry growth of 14.2% for the period H1FY2026.

The company continues to drive profitable growth through prudent underwriting, judicious risk selection and through multi-channel distribution.

The growth in the fire segment has accelerated to 27.3% in Q2FY2026 from 10.3% in Q1FY2026 with the robust 36.4% growth in the month of September 2025.
