Margins to remain range bound, CRR provides scope to expand credit deposit ratio


'ICICI Bank conducted a concall on 18 October 2025 to discuss the financial results for the quarter ended September 2025 and prospects of the bank. Sandeep Bakhshi, MD&CEO of the bank addressed the call:

Highlights:

The strategic focus continues to be on growing profit before tax excluding treasury through the 360-degree customer centric approach and by serving opportunities across ecosystems and micromarkets.

Average deposits grew by 9.1% yoy and 1.6% sequentially and average current and savings account deposits grew by 9.7% yoy and 2.7% sequentially in Q2FY2026.

Total deposits grew by 7.7% yoy and 0.3% sequentially at end September 2025.

The Bank’s average liquidity coverage ratio for the quarter was about 127%.

The domestic loan portfolio grew by 10.6% yoy and 3.3% qoq at end September 2025.

The retail loan portfolio grew by 6.6% yoy and 2.6% sequentially.

The rural portfolio declined by 1.3% yoy and grew by 0.8% seq...
