HDFC Life Insurance Company

Expects margin to be rangebound for FY2026


'HDFC Life Insurance Company conducted a conference call on 15 July 2025 to discuss the financial results for the quarter ended June 2025. Vibha Padalkar, MD & CEO of the company addressed the call:

Highlights:

The company began Q1FY26 on a strong note with healthy growth across topline, value of new business and steady margins.

Individual APE grew by 12.5% yoy, translating into a robust 2-year CAGR of 21%, while outperforming industry as well as the private sector. The market share increased 70 bps on overall level to 12.1% and by 40 bps within the private sector to 17.5%.

Over 70% of new customers acquired in Q1 were first time buyers with HDFC Life, underscoring customer acquisition strength and deepening presence across tier 1, 2, and 3 markets.

Growth was led by higher average ticket sizes, while the as the year progresses, the company expect a more balanced contribution from both ticket size and policy volum...
