Grindwell Norton

Sales up 5%, net up 13%


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Grindwell Norton for the quarter ended Sep 2023 has increased 5.16% to Rs 667.4 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 19.30% to 19.69%, leading to 7.32% rise in operating profit to Rs 131.43 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 36.63% to 32.86%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 11.14% to 13.14%.   Employee cost increased from 11.10% to 11.46%.   Other expenses rose from 22.28% to 23.27%.   

Other income rose 50.80% to Rs 22.59 crore.  PBIDT rose 12.06% to Rs 154.02 crore.  Provision for interest rose 23.97% to Rs 1.81 crore.  PBDT rose 11.94% to Rs 152.21 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 8.67% to Rs 16.92 crore.   Profit before tax grew 12.36% to Rs 135.29 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 33.09 crore, compared to Rs 29....
