Grindwell Norton

Net up 15% largely on higher sales, higher OI and lower interest


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Grindwell Norton has increased 9.28% to Rs 659.94 crore.  Sales of Abrasives segment has gone up 5.97% to Rs 327.33 crore (accounting for 49.34% of total sales).  Sales of Ceramics and Plastic segment has gone up 9.39% to Rs 268.63 crore (accounting for 40.50% of total sales).  Sales of Others segment rose 51.86% to Rs 20.38 crore (accounting for 3.07% of total sales).  Sales of Digital Services segment has gone up 14.94% to Rs 47.02 crore (accounting for 7.09% of total sales).  Inter-segment sales came down from Rs 4.91 crore to Rs 3.42 crore.  

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 7.47% to Rs 113.04 crore.  PBIT of Abrasives segment fell 5.56% to Rs 43.51 crore (accounting for 38.49% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Ceramics and Plastic segment rose 5.09% to Rs 52.83 crore (accounting for 46.74% of total P...
