Net sales (including other operating income) of Gillette India has increased 9.51% to Rs 706.72 crore. Sales of Grooming segment has gone up 11.02% to Rs 576.93 crore (accounting for 81.63% of total sales). Sales of Oral Care segment rose 3.29% to Rs 129.79 crore (accounting for 18.37% of total sales).
Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 25.07% to Rs 190.34 crore. PBIT of Grooming segment rose 10.29% to Rs 153.53 crore (accounting for 80.66% of total PBIT). PBIT of Oral Care segment rose 183.59% to Rs 36.81 crore (accounting for 19.34% of total PBIT).
PBIT margin of Grooming segment fell from 26.79% to 26.61%. PBIT margin of Oral Care segment rose from 10.33% to 28.36%. Overall PBIT margin rose from 23.58% to 26.93%.
