Epack Durable

Net down 49% on higher sales as OPM decline 210 bps


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Epack Durable for the quarter ended Dec 2024 has increased 35.04% to Rs 376.84 crore supported by strong industry demand, as well as addition of new customers across all segments.  Operating profit margin has declined from 8.50% to 6.40%, leading to 1.56% rise in operating profit to Rs 24.10 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 82.07% to 81.57%.   Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 1.85% to 1.06%.   Employee cost increased from 4.04% to 4.38%.   Other expenses rose from 4.06% to 6.77%.  Just an early single digit growth  in OP on a YoY was primarily due to higher costs related to new Sricity plant which has not reached optimum capacity utilisation yet. Although, EBITDA growth on a QOQ basis was 150% due to better product mix resulting in higher gross margins.
