Sales down 13%, net down 22%


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Engineers India for quarter ended Sep 2024 has declined 12.77% to Rs 688.94 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 12.48% to 9.06%, leading to 36.68% decline in operating profit to Rs 62.39 crore.  Employee cost increased from 30.99% to 36.57%.   Other expenses fell from 56.53% to 54.38%.   Selling and administration expenses fell from 16.19% to 9.09%.   Expenses from contract rose from 30.38% to 33.07%.   Construction development cost fell from 16.19% to 9.09%.   Other income rose 7.21% to Rs 46.96 crore.  PBIDT fell 23.17% to Rs 109.35 crore.  Provision for interest rose 76.19% to Rs 0.74 crore.   PBDT fell 23.47% to Rs 108.61 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 15.10% to Rs 9.53 crore.   Profit before tax down 25.85% to Rs 99.08 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 12.68% lower at Rs 22.7...
