Weak performance


'Net sales (including other operating income) of Deepak Nitrite has declined 12.78% to Rs 1889.88 crore. Sales of Phenolics segment has gone down 10.91% to Rs 1,303.96 crore (accounting for 68.30% of total sales).  Sales of Advanced Intermediates segment has gone down 15.42% to Rs 605.33 crore (accounting for 31.70% of total sales).  Inter-segment sales rose Rs 12.48 crore to Rs 19.41 crore. 

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has slumped 44.04% to Rs 153.37 crore.  PBIT of Phenolics segment fell 43.20% to Rs 117.90 crore (accounting for 76.87% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Advanced Intermediates segment fell 46.67% to Rs 35.47 crore (accounting for 23.13% of total PBIT). 

PBIT margin of Phenolics segment fell from 14.18% to 9.04%.  PBIT margin of Advanced Intermediates segment fell from 9.29% to...
