Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals

Sales up 5%, OP down 10%


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals for the quarter ended Sep 2023 has increased 4.87% to Rs 1782.27 crore.  


Operating profit margin has declined from 11.36% to 9.79%, leading to 9.63% decline in operating profit to Rs 174.52 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 25.73% to 26.26%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 39.71% to 43.16%.   Employee cost decreased from 8.43% to 8.22%.   Other expenses fell from 13.91% to 12.80%.   

Other income fell 18.69% to Rs 14.88 crore.  PBIDT fell 10.41% to Rs 189.4 crore.  Provision for interest fell 27.92% to Rs 21.53 crore.  

PBDT fell 7.53% to Rs 167.87 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 13.58% to Rs 32.12 crore.  


Profit before tax down 11.43% to Rs 135.75 crore. ...
