Net sales (including other operating income) of Coal India has declined 5.25%
to Rs 34924.19 crore.
Operating profit margin
has declined from 33.42% to 26.72%, leading to 24.24% decline in operating
profit to Rs 9,331.26 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales
(net of stock adjustments) increased from 7.68% to 7.87%. Employee
cost increased from 28.98% to 37.10%. Other expenses fell from
30.45% to 28.85%. Expenses from contract rose from 22.70% to
23.50%. Other direct service cost rose from 2.23% to 4.10%.
Other income rose 11.59%
to Rs 2391.64 crore. PBIDT fell 18.93% to Rs 11722.9 crore. Provision
for interest rose 42.21% to Rs 320.73 crore.
