Coal India

NP up 12% YoY to Rs 9604 crore in Q4FY2025


'On consolidated basis

Quarter ended March 2025 compared with Quarter ended March 2024.

Net sales (including other operating income) of Coal India has declined 1.02% to Rs 37824.54 crore.  

Operating profit margin has jumped from 29.80% to 31.17%, leading to 3.54% rise in operating profit to Rs 11,790.15 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 8.17% to 8.51%.   Employee cost decreased from 32.89% to 29.54%.   Other expenses rose from 31.27% to 33.15%.   Expenses from contract rose from 19.41% to 23.21%.   Other direct service cost fell from 1.80% to 1.37%.   

Other income rose 75.45% to Rs 3937.22 crore.  PBIDT rose 15.37% to Rs 15727.37 crore.  Provision for interest rose 3.86% to Rs 241.14 crore.  Loan funds rose to Rs 9,145.73 crore as of 31 March 2025 from Rs ...
