Bharat Heavy Electricals

Sales up 10%, net down 3%


'

Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Bharat Heavy Electricals for the quarter ended Jun 2024 has increased 9.62% to Rs 5484.92 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from negative 3.56% to negative 3.09%, leading to 4.91% rise in operating profit to Rs -169.35 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 70.05% to 69.86%.   Employee cost decreased from 29.22% to 26.91%.   Other expenses rose from 4.40% to 6.41%.  Other income fell 14.86% to Rs 96.86 crore.  PBIDT fell 12.70% to Rs 72.49 crore.  Provision for interest fell 3.70% to Rs 161.74 crore.  PBDT stood at Rs 234.23 crore compared to profit of Rs 691.13 crore.  Provision for depreciation fell 1.70% to Rs 58.97 crore.  Profit before tax down 0.32% to Rs -293.20 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 11.79% lower at Rs 14.21 crore.  Provision for tax was credit ...
