Sales up 15% and net up 6%


'Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Bharat Bijlee for the quarter ended Jun 2024 has declined 15.11% to Rs 374.76 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 7.40% to 7.86%, leading to 9.80% decline in operating profit to Rs 29.45 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 73.31% to 72.10%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 1.74% to 2.46%.   Employee cost increased from 9.31% to 10.94%.   Other expenses fell from 7.79% to 7.61%.   Other income fell 0.72% to Rs 9.6 crore.  PBIDT fell 7.73% to Rs 39.05 crore.  Provision for interest fell 51.37% to Rs 2.66 crore.  PBDT fell 1.25% to Rs 36.39 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 34.31% to Rs 4.58 crore.  Profit before tax down 4.87% to Rs 31.81 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 7.88 crore, compared to Rs 8.11 crore.  Effective tax...
