Overall Demand scenario in Polymer Industry was weak in Q1FY26


'Net sales (including other operating income) of Astral has declined 1.62% to Rs 1361.2 crore.  Sales of Plumbing segment fell 5.85% to Rs 953.90 crore (accounting for 70.08% of total sales).  Sales of Paints and Adhesives segment has gone up 9.96% to Rs 407.30 crore (accounting for 29.92% of total sales). 

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has slumped 28.61% to Rs 118.50 crore.  PBIT of Plumbing segment fell 29.36% to Rs 98.90 crore (accounting for 83.46% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Paints and Adhesives segment fell 24.62% to Rs 19.60 crore (accounting for 16.54% of total PBIT). 

PBIT margin of Plumbing segment fell from 13.82% to 10.37%.  PBIT margin of Paints and Adhesives segment fell from 7.02% to 4.81%.  Overall PBIT margin fell from 12.00%...
