Indian Auto Industry Sees Strong Growth Across Segments led by EV Boom and Rural Demand

With two-wheeler sales rising 6% and electric 2-wheeler registrations crossing 1.14 million units, the industry benefits from rural demand, infrastructure momentum and global trade opportunities like UK’s zero-duty policy on Indian imports.

The two wheelers auto industry recorded a 6% growth due to rising rural demand. PV & CV segment grows by 5% & 3% in respect with continued infrastructure led momentum & expansion of e-commerce sector. The European auto industry continue to face headwinds with cheaper imports and high production cost in region.

Electric 2 wheelers registration crossed 1 million numbers first time with sales at 1.14 million units for FY 25, YoY growth of 22%. The reduction of duties to near 0% by UK on goods imported from India including auto components present new market for Indian auto comp Industry.
