Railtel Corporation of India

Sales up 41%, but growth at net restricted at 7%


'Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Railtel Corporation of India for the quarter ended Sep 2024 has increased 40.78% to Rs 843.49 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 21.27% to 15.33%, leading to 1.49% rise in operating profit to Rs 129.32 crore.  Lower OPM is largely due to increased contribution to revenue from low margin projects business. Employee cost decreased from 8.61% to 6.31%.   Other expenses rose from 70.12% to 78.36%.   Selling and administration expenses fell from 20.65% to 16.48%.   Other direct service cost rose from 48.06% to 60.62%.   

Other income up 39.14% to Rs 19.02 crore.  PBIDT rose 5.14% to Rs 148.34 crore.  Provision for interest fell 9.84% to Rs 0.55 crore.   PBDT rose 5.20% to Rs 147.79 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 5.31% to Rs 39.88 crore.   Profit before tax grew 5.17% to Rs 107.91 crore.  Extra...
