'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Polycab India for the quarter ended Mar 2024 has increased 29.33% to Rs 5591.9 crore. Operating profit margin has declined from 14.10% to 13.62%, leading to 24.94% rise in operating profit to Rs 761.53 crore. Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 69.20% to 65.77%. Purchase of finished goods cost fell from 4.01% to 2.49%. Employee cost increased from 2.82% to 3.15%. Other expenses rose from 9.49% to 14.43%. Selling and administration expenses rose from 0.58% to 0.70%. Freight charges fell from 2.09% to 1.79%. Other direct service cost rose from 0.95% to 5.47%. Other income rose 4.50% to Rs 53.84 crore. PBIDT rose 23.34% to Rs 815.37 crore. Provision for interest fell 13.35% to Rs 24.4 crore.
