Strong growth trajectory


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of PCBL has increased 59.07% to Rs 2143.56 crore on the back of better realization, sales volume in Carbon Black segment (Rubber & Specialty Blacks) and consolidation of water treatment, detergents and oil & gas chemicals business under Aquapharm.  Sales volume (Carbon black) was up 25% YoY to 1,53,918 tonne in Q1FY25 from 1,23,086 tonne in Q1FY24 on back of higher specialty volume and additional volume from PCBL (TN) plant.

The state of art plant in Chennai has received approval from all major tyre manufacturers in India and clocked a capacity utilization of 85% plus during the quarter. Sales volume for Q1FY25 stood at 28,228 tons. The Aquapharm business has witnessed a steady improvement in its performance.
