PCBL

Sales up 40%, NP up 9%


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of PCBL has increased 40.40% to Rs 1928.78 crore.  Sales of Carbon Black segment has gone up 23.29% to Rs 1,646.04 crore (accounting for 84.16% of total sales).  Sales of Power segment has gone up 25.55% to Rs 70.70 crore (accounting for 3.61% of total sales).  Inter-segment sales rose Rs 17.62 crore to Rs 27.03 crore. 

Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 46.56% to Rs 298.41 crore.  PBIT of Carbon Black segment rose 53.38% to Rs 259.46 crore (accounting for 86.95% of total PBIT).  PBIT of Power segment rose 36.72% to Rs 47.10 crore (accounting for 15.78% of total PBIT). 

PBIT margin of Carbon Black segment rose from 12.67% to 15.76%.  PBIT margin of Power segment...
