'Net
sales (including other operating income) of NMDC has increased 24.47% to Rs
6738.86 crore. Sales of Iron Ore segment
has gone up 15.38% to Rs 6,199.15 crore (accounting for 91.53% of total
sales). Sales of Peliet,Other Minerals
& Services segment has gone up 698.44% to Rs 573.76 crore (accounting for
8.47% of total sales). Inter-segment
sales rose Rs 30.29 crore to Rs 34.05 crore.
Profit
before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 7.37% to Rs
2,610.16 crore.
PBIT of Iron Ore segment
rose 4.38% to Rs 2,597.02 crore (accounting for 99.50% of total PBIT). PBIT of Peliet,Other Minerals & Services
reported profit of Rs 13.14 crore compared to loss of Rs 57.04 crore.
PBIT
margin of Iron Ore segment fell from 46.31% to 41.89%.
