Sales up 10%, net down 9%


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Mahindra Logistics for the quarter ended Jun 2024 has increased 9.80% to Rs 1420.02 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 5.15% to 4.67%, leading to 0.53% decline in operating profit to Rs 66.28 crore.  Employee cost decreased from 7.67% to 7.18%.   Other expenses rose from 87.15% to 88.15%.   Other direct service cost rose from 84.21% to 85.49%.   Other income fell 8.25% to Rs 5.67 crore.  PBIDT fell 1.18% to Rs 71.95 crore.  Provision for interest rose 9.62% to Rs 19.49 crore.  PBDT fell 4.67% to Rs 52.46 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 0.92% to Rs 54.96 crore.  Profit before tax reported loss of Rs 2.50 crore compared to profit of Rs 0.57 crore.  Share of profit/loss were nil in both the periods.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 5.34 crore, compared to Rs 8.87 crore.  Effective tax rat...
