Net down 2% largely on lower OPM and higher taxation


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of KSB for the quarter ended Dec 2023 has increased 14.87% to Rs 602.6 crore.  Operating profit margin has declined from 14.64% to 13.43%, leading to 5.34% rise in operating profit to Rs 80.90 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 45.01% to 46.70%.   Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 7.15% to 9.43%.   Employee cost decreased from 13.06% to 12.26%.   Other expenses fell from 19.90% to 17.18%.   Other income fell 26.44% to Rs 6.4 crore.  PBIDT rose 2.11% to Rs 87.3 crore.  Provision for interest fell 36% to Rs 1.6 crore.  PBDT rose 3.25% to Rs 85.7 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 14.17% to Rs 13.7 crore.  Profit before tax grew 1.41% to Rs 72.00 crore.  Share of profit/loss was 27.27% higher at Rs 2.8 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 19.9 ...
