Jupiter Wagons

Net up 46% on strong operating show


'Consolidated net sales (including other operating income) of Jupiter Wagons for the quarter ended Jun 2024 has increased 16.82% to Rs 879.86 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 12.85% to 15.53%, leading to 41.17% rise in operating profit to Rs 136.68 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from 77.55% to 75.07%.   Employee cost increased from 1.49% to 1.89%.   Other expenses fell from 8.16% to 7.89%.   

Other income rose 253.60% to Rs 7.85 crore.  PBIDT rose 45.93% to Rs 144.53 crore.  Provision for interest rose 50.90% to Rs 12.63 crore.  

PBDT rose 45.47% to Rs 131.9 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 90.23% to Rs 12.46 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 41.99% to Rs 119.44 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 27.76 crore, compared to Rs 21.05 crore.  Effective tax...
