Net sales (including other operating income) of Gillette India has increased 17.12% to Rs 781.82 crore. Sales of Grooming segment has gone up 23.02% to Rs 648.90 crore (accounting for 83.00% of total sales). Sales of Oral Care segment fell 5.11% to Rs 132.92 crore (accounting for 17.00% of total sales).
Profit before interest, tax and other unallocable items (PBIT) has jumped 44.67% to Rs 172.03 crore. PBIT of Grooming segment rose 67.57% to Rs 156.33 crore (accounting for 90.87% of total PBIT). PBIT of Oral Care segment fell 38.72% to Rs 15.70 crore (accounting for 9.13% of total PBIT).
PBIT margin of Grooming segment rose from 17.69% to 24.09%. PBIT margin of Oral Care segment fell from 18.29% to 11.81%. Overall PBIT margin rose from 17.81% to 22.00%.
