Container Corporation Of India

Sales up 4%, net up 4%


'Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Container Corporation Of India for the quarter ended Sep 2024 has increased 4.23% to Rs 2,283.03 crore.  Operating profit margin has jumped from 24.53% to 25.18%, leading to 7.02% rise in operating profit to Rs 574.95 crore.  Employee cost decreased from 5.58% to 5.04%.   Other expenses fell from 69.89% to 69.78%.   Freight charges fell from 54.92% to 54.85%.   Other direct service cost fell from 12.38% to 11.50%.   Other income up 26.96% to Rs 130.07 crore.  PBIDT rose 10.21% to Rs 705.02 crore.  Provision for interest up 20.38% to Rs 17.66 crore.   PBDT rose 9.97% to Rs 687.36 crore.  Provision for depreciation rose 8.82% to Rs 161.71 crore.   Profit before tax grew 10.33% to Rs 525.65 crore.  The exceptional item for the quarter ended on 30th September 2024, is the amount paid for settlement of disputed cl...
