Expects to maintain ROA at 1% for FY2026


'State bank of India conducted a conference call on 03 May 2025 to discuss its financial results for the quarter ended March 2025. CS Setty, Chairman of the bank addressed the call:

Highlights:

The financial results for FY25 highlight continuity, consistency, profitability and SBI''s significant long-term strengths.

SBI has remained focused on strengthening the key components that contribute to this sustainable value.

The bank has prioritized liability franchise, refined processes and continues to improve underwriting standards. The bank aims to deliver value to all stakeholders while positioning itself as a reliable financial services brand.

The banking industry credit growth moderated to 11% from 20% last year and deposits growth also eased to 10.3% from 13.5% last year. Term deposit growth continued to outpace growth in savings deposits consequently the share of term deposits in total deposits rose to about 62% ...
