Target profit growth of 30-40%, advances growth of 20% and deposit growth of 20% for FY2025

Jana Small Finance Bank conducted a conference call on 22 July 2024 to discuss the financial results for the quarter ended June 2024. Ajan Kanwal, MD & CEO of the company addressed the call:

Highlights:

The bank had a very strong quarter in Q1FY2025 with robust 41% yoy and 5% qoq surge in the deposits. The term deposits increased 4%, while CASA deposits have increased at a faster pace of 9% in Q1FY2025. Thus , the share of CASA deposits increased to 20.4% from 19.7% a year ago.
The bank has recorded 25% growth in advances at the end June 2024. Advances grew at a slower pace of 4% qoq as against 5% qoq growth in deposits.
The secured assets have increased by 8% qoq, while unsecured have declined by 1% end June 2024. The bank''s strategy of raising the share of secured assets has continued with increasing share of secured assets to 62% from 60% a quarter ago and 58% last year.
