Raises individual APE growth guidance to 18-20%, target VNB growth of 15-17% for FY25

HDFC Life Insurance Company conducted a conference call on 15 October 2024 to discuss the financial results for the quarter ended September 2024. Vibha Padalkar, MD & CEO of the company addressed the call:

Highlights:

The private sector and overall industry continued its strong momentum in Q2 growing by 24% and 21% in H1FY25 on an individual weighted received premium basis.

The company has outperformed the private sector by growing at 28% and 19% on a 2-year CAGR basis.

The market share amongst private players registered an increase of 60 bps improving to 16.3%. Overall market share touched a new peak of 11% for the period ending H1FY25.

On an individual APE basis, the company has recorded a robust growth of 31% on a YoY basis and 19% on a 2-year CAGR basis bolstered by strong performance across all metrics.

The company registered an increase of 22% in the number of policies sold with a ticket size expansion of 7%...
