Aims to raise CD ratio to 70% by end March 2025

Central Bank of India conducted a concall on 17 October 2024 to discuss the financial results for the quarter ended September 2024 and prospects of the bank. MV Rao, MD&CEO of the bank addressed the call:

Highlights:

The bank has received CCI approval to acquire 25.18% stake in Future Generali Life insurance Company and 24.91% in Future Generali General Insurance Company. With this, the bank would have additional to joint ventures. Acquisition cost of insurance business is Rs 508 crore.

The business volumes of the bank have increased 7.1% to Rs 6.4 lakh crore end September 2024. The deposits stood at Rs 3.91 lakh crore with Casa deposits at Rs 1.91 lakh crore and Casa ratio at 48.9%.

The loan book of the bank has increased 9.5% to Rs 2.52 lakh crore end September 2024.

The bank has raised credit deposit ratio to 64.7% from 62.5% last year.

The provision coverage ratio is strong at 96.31% end September 2024.
