Business conditions strengthened to 6 from 3, driven by higher sales (9) and profitability (4). Retail saw growth for the first time since November 2023, while transport, utilities, construction, and wholesale lagged. Cost pressures increased, with purchase costs at 1.5%, product prices at 0.9%, and retail prices at 0.7%, while labor costs eased to 1.4%.
