Nippon Life India Asset Management

AUM up 21%, net profit rises 19%


'Nippon Life India Asset Management has posted 19% jump in the net profit to Rs 396.12 crore in the quarter ended June 2025 (Q1FY2026). The income from operation of Nippon Life India Asset Management increased 20.13% to Rs 606.61 crore in Q1FY2026. Overall OPM has increased to 63.98% in Q1FY2026 from 62.66% in Q1FY2025, leading to 22.67% rise in operating profit to Rs 388.13 crore. Other expenditure as a percentage of total income moved down to 15.80% from 16.52% in Q1FY2026. The staff cost as a percentage of total income declined to 20.22% from 20.82% in Q1FY2026.

Other income increased 11.62% to Rs 146 crore. Interest cost increased 10.43% to Rs 1.8 crore. Depreciation moved up 23.57% to Rs 8.44 crore. PBT moved up 19.41% to Rs 523.89 crore.

The effective tax rate increased to 24.47% in Q1FY2026 compared to 24.29% in Q1FY2025. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 128.21 crore, compared to Rs 106.58 crore. Profit after tax rose 19.12% to Rs 395.68 crore.
