Copper sustains gains to linger around one-week top

COMEX Copper futures are holding near one-week high in mostly steady moves as firm equities are boosting the red metal. COMEX Copper futures are currently trading at $5.54 per pound, up 1.50% on the day. MCX Copper is up 1.90% at Rs 1156 per kg. Meanwhile, Asian shares stayed well supported. China's Shanghai Composite index gained 1.30%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index added 1%. Japan’s Nikkei average rallied 2.90%. European stocks rose around 1-1.5% as markets tracked positive developments related to the ongoing US-Iran war. After the recovery during the previous session, the US stocks saw lackluster moves on Tuesday. DOW eased 0.18%.
