(including other operating income) of Power Grid Corporation of India for the
quarter ended Sep 2023 has declined 0.47% to Rs 10,419.41 crore. Operating
profit margin has jumped from 84.41% to 86.85%, leading to 2.40% rise in
operating profit to Rs 9,048.87 crore. Other income up 46.83% to Rs
786.4 crore. PBIDT rose 4.94% to Rs 9835.27 crore. Provision
for interest up 8.78% to Rs 2389.13 crore. PBDT rose 3.76% to Rs
7446.14 crore. Provision for depreciation down 1.77% to Rs 3141.78
crore. Profit before tax grew 8.21% to Rs 4,304.36
crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 509.46 crore, compared to
Rs 377.99 crore. Effective tax rate was 11.84% compared to 9.50%. Profit
after tax rose 5.42% to Rs 3,794.90 crore.
