Kaveri Seed soars on buyback plan

Kaveri Seed Company spurted 5.23% to Rs 645 as the company's board will consider a share buyback on 5 January 2024.

Kaveri Seed Company has announced a board meeting on Friday, 5 January 2024, to discuss a potential share buyback.

As on September 2023, promoters held 59.90% stake in the company.

Kaveri Seed Company is India's leading agriculture company specializing in hybrid seeds. On a consolidated basis, net profit of Kaveri Seed Company rose 158.87% to Rs 13.72 crore on 2.54% increase in net sales to Rs 171.32 crore in Q2 September 2023 over Q2 September 2022.
