Net profit of Elecon Engineering Company declined 26.11% to Rs 16.98 crore in the quarter ended March 2009 as against Rs 22.98 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2008. Sales declined 12.16% to Rs 288.53 crore in the quarter ended March 2009 as against Rs 328.47 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2008.

For the full year, net profit declined 14.51% to Rs 57.45 crore in the year ended March 2009 as against Rs 67.20 crore during the previous year ended March 2008. Sales rose 15.56% to Rs 955.06 crore in the year ended March 2009 as against Rs 826.44 crore during the previous year ended March 2008.
